New Philanthropy Capital (NPC) publishes a new report - 25/06/2009

A report published by the New Philanthropy Capital (NPC) entitled Everyday Cares compares children’s day centres in Italy and the  UK. The report provides a framework for charities to measure their impact on children’s lives. Although this report was based in schools, many of the findings are relevant to homelessness interventions and have particular relevance to the outcomes approach.

Is Outcomes Star data meaningful? Contribute to our research! - 18/06/2009

Homeless Link and the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff, are currently undertaking a piece of research to validate the Outcomes Star as a data collection tool. This is to determine:

a) whether the tool is used consistently across different workers, projects and organisations

b) whether progress in ‘soft’ outcomes, as measured by the Star, correlates to the achievement of ‘hard’ outcomes.

Event to launch two exciting new developments in the Mental Health Recovery Star - 30/04/2009
 
The Mental Health Providers Forum is holding an event on 03 June 2009 to launch two exciting new Mental Health Recovery Star developments. There will also be an opportunity to see the new Recovery Star IT system.
 
Results of consultation published - 20/04/2009

Throughout March 2009 Homeless Link conducted a consultation among homelessness agencies on the role of outcomes within the sector. This focussed on current understanding of outcomes, approaches and tools used to measure outcomes, and how outcomes approaches should develop in the future.

Outcomes Star System - supporting over 50 organisations to manage Outcomes data - 03/03/2009
More than 50 organisations are signed up to use the Outcomes Star System, a free website that allows you to store and analyse Outcomes Star data. For more information on the Outcomes Star System see Outcomes Star Online.

 

Signs of Success: Outcomes Conference 21st October 2008 - 27/08/2008
The Signs of Success conference was a great success! Delegates attended workshops on a range of issues that enabled them to learn how to implement and use outcomes to assess the changes that clients make as a result of their work.
