The Outcomes Star provides a means of measuring the changes service users make as a result of homelessness agency support. It is increasingly crucial that agencies provide clear evidence of their effectiveness as local authority commissioning moves from Supporting People to Local Area Agreements.
To help agencies in making this step-change to improved methods for demonstrating their effectiveness, the Foundation is currently developing an online Outcomes Star system. This will enable agencies, from keyworker to chief executive, to input and retrieve Outcomes Star data in a variety of useful ways.
The system will be available freely from this website and can be used by any agency that is using the Star. It is anticipated that it will be launched during Summer 2008. Subscribers to the Homeless Outcomes newsletter will be the first to know.
