First training day feedback

Increased Confidence

The first Outcomes Star training day was held on 7th November 2007 and feedback has demonstrated how useful and enjoyable people found it. Participants told us they came away with a clear understanding of the Outcomes Star and the best way to implement it.

One of the key areas of concern had been interpreting data from the Star but, by the end of the day, participants' confidence had almost doubled. Other areas to show a similar increase were:

  • General confidence in using the Star
  • Confidence to train others
  • Understanding the Star journey of change
  • Understanding how the Star fits with ways of working.

Highlights

Other areas of the training day that were particularly appreciated were:

  • Clear and simple explanations
  • The chance to share experiences with people from different backgrounds from all over the country
  • The role play, group work and exercises
  • The walk-through of the Journey of Change
  • Being able to discuss and talk-through what the Star data meant.

Key Learning

Asked to pinpoint the key points of the day, participants told us they had:
  • Increased their confidence in analysing the Star data
  • Increased their confidence in using the Star
  • Learnt the importance of taking their time and of enthusiasm when implementing the Star.
